Continued: As
you add Items to the database and place them in a category, they are displayed
on these pages automatically. The button names, price, description, Select Boxes
and so on are loaded with the
information stored in the database. The Items that you add to your database are
displayed automatically under the category that you put them in. You don't edit these
pages. Basically, creating categories gives you the buttons. Clicking the
buttons displays the items you have added to that particular category. Simple. The
buttons from Computer Cases to Motherboards are the Category Names that are
stored in the demo database. Click Computer Cases and see it's sub categories at the
top of that page. Select a sub category click Go. Then notice the links on the
left. You'll have a new set containing the parent category of the current
category that you are in. The
Featured Items page displays items that you have marked as Featured in the
database. Clicking
any description or small image takes you to the product's details page where you
have a whole page to display details and more/larger images. The details are
stored in the database. When adding an item you just type in the products
details and features. The information that you enter is displayed on the
product's details page. There is only one product_details.asp page. All products
use it. Try all 4 above items and notice the url for each.
